Where is El Refugio de Cartajima?

Cartajima is located 6km from the Ronda-San Pedro road, 17km from Ronda, 100km from Malaga and 130km from Sevilla.

Getting there:

By bus or train

Regular train services from Algerciras via the scenic Algecira Express and regular bus services from Malaga to Ronda. From Ronda there’s 1 bus Mon - Fri to Cartajima, leaving the bus station at 2.30pm. Alternatively call the hostel to arrange a pick-up, we will be happy to collect you. - A taxi from Ronda is about 20 Euro.

By car

From Malaga: take the toll road (peaje) E-15 (N340) direction Algeciras-Cadiz. Exit at San Pedro de Alcantara, then follow Ronda A-376. Wind up the mountain for 45km. After the gas station and Venta Ventilla look for a left turn marked Juzcar/Cartajima/Parauta. Be careful! This road is narrow and winding. After 6km Cartajima is on your left.

When you arrive in Cartajima:

We think it’s a good idea to park just past the first house on the left and walk into the village. El Refugio is located in the Calle del Serrillo below the church and behind the Town Hall. Look for our sign, if you can’t find us, call us or ask a local.
