Los Riscos de Cartajima

Los Riscos de Cartajima rise up to almost 1500m at the summit of the Jarastepar. From here looking south you can see the whole valley of the Genal, the peak of Los Reales, and on a clear day, the Rif mountains of Morocco. To the west in the Sierra de las Nieves is the peak of La Torrecilla at 1900m, and to the east the Sierra Grazalema. To the north lie the Meseta de Ronda and the Sierra de las Cumbres.

Los Riscos sees few visitors and is a wild place. The paths that exist are for goats and getting lost is easy. Carry plenty of water!
